The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The League of Women Voters of Great Bend is a grassroots organization, which welcomes citizens of voting age, both men and women, as members.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at noon at the Club at Stone Ridge.

Membership is open to the public.

Joining the league means that you will receive the timely updates from the National League and you will also receive the Kansas Voter and the local newsletter.

Issues the League of Women Voters of Great Bend Has Supported

  • Establishing Barton College
  • Improving Physical Education in Elementary Schools
  • Adopting Flood Control
  • Establishing 911
  • Increasing the Number of County Commissioners from 3 to 5
  • Promoting a More Diverse Judiciary in Kansas
